The official WordPress blog posted up a sneak peek into the WordPress 2.5 release, with updated interface thanks to Happy Cog. A customizable dashboard, multi-file upload, built-in galleries, one-click plugin upgrades, tag management, built-in Gravatars, full text feeds, and faster load times will make our lives so much easier.
As Matt says the software is basically done and stable, and could be released , but they’d like to incorporate feedback from a wider audience before making it available to the general public. Until then you can download new and install Release Candidate 1 of WordPress 2.5. And here are some previews of it.

it looks so clean and bright, nice
I do not like the ‘writing posts’ layout with all the stuff hidden under the post area and with all that ‘empty’ space on the right…
Looks very nice, can’t wait for final release
Sweet!
This is great!
Your previous posts were real rubbish, but this is good. This one is brilliant. Your blog is getting really better.
Sounds perfect to me. I have read this post with a great pleasure. You should write much more often.
Althoug I’m not using WordPress, this looks very nice.
